Got the low brake fluid warning again and had a fresh can of Johnsen's synthetic DOT-3 brake fluid handy. It didn't take the whole can, only about 8oz. Low brake fluid is common as the pads slowly wear.
Looks like I'm adding 8oz of brake fluid about every 10k miles lately, around once a year:
